Thereafter, to strengthen and consolidate his training in the hospital services Rajan became a Senior House Officer in restorative dentistry, periodontology and oral medicine at Birmingham Dental Hospital.

In practice, he provides a comprehensive range of non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatments. The scope of his surgical therapy includes open flap debridement, resective pocket reduction surgery (soft tissue and osseous), periodontal regeneration (Emdogain and bone grafting), crown lengthening (functional and aesthetic), and mucogingival periodontal plastic surgery. Rajan can provide dental implant treatment (both surgical and restorative aspects) for periodontal patients at Darren Bywater Dental Care.
